INVESTIGATION OF IONIZING PARTICLE FIELD IN A SPACECRAFT ON THE GEOSTATIONARY ORBIT

An experimental investigation into differential spectrums of ionizing particles on the spacecraft in the field of the great specific energy losses was carried out. Composition and differential spectrums of such fields depend both on the physical characteristics of materials incorporated into structural elements and systems of the spacecraft and on the space radiation weather depended in its turn on the physical mechanism of generation of cosmic rays producing in the active processes on the sun and in the heliosphere.

TWO-PULSE RESPONSE OF BISMUTH PIECES DURING PULSE ELECTRON BEAM IRRADIATION

A response consisted of sequence of two pulses of stresses was obtained on the bismuth pieces. The performed investigations showed that the reason of ‘anomalous’ behavior of the pieces involves formation of large regions having two different sound velocities under bismuth crystallization.

PREDICTION OF GAS EMISSION OF POLYMERIC MATERIALS USED UNDER VACUUM CONDITIONS

Procedure of prediction of polymeric materials gas emission on exposure to vacuum was developed. A relationship permitting to estimate molecular mass of the polymer destruction products evaporating fraction depending on operating conditions (vacuum, temperature) was obtained.

ON MODELING OF DEPOSITION OF THE OUTER SELF ATMOSPHERE PRODUCTS ON THE SPACECRAFT SURFACES

Results on experimental modeling of deposition of the outer self atmosphere products on the spacecraft optical material surfaces are presented. The main results were obtained by examination of regularities of the quartz glass transmittance change under the action of gas emission of the polymeric composite and electron radiation.

RADIATION-OPTICAL EFFECTS IN QUARTZ ENVELOPES OF DISCHARGE LAMPS

Investigations on impact of the radiation action on specters of induced absorption in the quartz envelopes of discharge lamps are performed. A dependence of the quartz optical transparence on its defects and impurities is shown. An impact of the thermophysical and irradiation processes in the lamp on the induced absorption in the envelope is considered.

Results of the non-destructive prediction of the microcontroller ATmega-128 dose resistance individual characteristic with use of the low intensity irradiation within the ‘safe dose’ with following recovery of their characteristics through a low temperature annealing are presented.

RADIATION OPTIMIZATION OF THE STATIC STORAGE CELL PARAMETERS

An approach to the radiation optimization of static storage cell parameters is considered. This allows increasing the resistance to the action of single ionizing particles and achieving better functional parameters than in the known radiation resistant analogs.

ON SYNCHRONIZATION OF HIGH VOLTAGE PULSED GENERATOR MODULES IN THE INSTALLATION EMIR-2

Results of several studies on operation of a multimodular high voltage pulsed generator into the circuit with electrically exploding wires by variation of the load inductance value are presented. It is shown that with decrease in the load inductance value the number of smartly operated generator modules increases.

EXPLOSION OF ELECTRICALLY EXPLODING WIRES IN GASEOUS ATMOSPHERE UNDER PRESSURE ON THE ACCELERATOR ИГУР-3.

On the accelerator IGUR-3 destined for generation of bremsstrahlung and electron beam pulses and designed on basis of a circuit with inductance-capacitance energy storage and electrically exploding wires the design of assembly for explosion of the wires was refined. The design changes allow performing a wire explosion in the gaseous atmosphere under pressure. The first set of experiments was performed. An effect of the gaseous atmosphere under pressure on the bremsstrahlung pulse parameters was obtained. Further investigations are required for improvements of the output parameters.

A SENSOR FOR CONTINUOUS CONTROL OF INSULATING LIQUIDS ELECTRIC STRENGTH

A sensor and a tool for reading from it continuously or under given time intervals information on the insulating oil electric strength in assemblies of pulsed electron beam accelerators is presented. It allows to optimize control process of the insulation conditions at all times and to increase reliability of performance of important experiments.

ON EFFECT OF CONCURRENT BREMSSTRAHLUNG OF A HIGH-POWER PULSE ACCELERATOR WHEN OPERATING AT ELECTRON BEAM EXTRACTION.

Results of investigations of the accelerator IGUR-3 bremsstrahlung effects on a signal from the piezoelectric transducer CTS-19 whereby it was recorded a time-amplitude profile of the thermoelastic stresses arising in a specimen made of carbon-carbon composite during its irradiation with an electron beam are presented. It is shown that this signal is partially determined by piezoelectric effect just in the transducer on exposure to the bremsstrahlung. In certain situations this effect may be essential.
